How do limiting beliefs shape our reality, and what happens when we outgrow them? Join us as we embark on a transformative exploration with Dr. Jenni, focusing on the metaphor of "Expanding Your Spiritual Container." Discover how different aspects of our lives—spiritual, energetic, and vibrational—are confined by these metaphorical containers and why it's crucial to let them expand and overflow. Through relatable examples like savings accounts and money beliefs, we illustrate how societal norms can limit our potential. Hear a compelling personal anecdote about a bucket of change that challenges conventional ideas about abundance and control, inviting you to release constraints and let universal energy flow freely.

In our journey, we unravel the intricate relationship between self-worth and belief systems. We highlight the power of daily affirmations and recognizing accomplishments to build a robust sense of self-worth, even in the face of societal pressures and childhood conditioning. Dr. Jenni and James share personal stories of overcoming limiting beliefs and updating our belief systems to match evolving societal standards. We delve into how self-worth profoundly impacts various facets of life, from career decisions to personal growth, and emphasize the importance of clearing out negative beliefs to make space for positive affirmations. Speaker 1: Welcome. Welcome back to the Spiritual Grind with Dr Jenny and myself. Speaker 2: Good morning. Speaker 1: Good morning Dr Jenny . Speaker 2: I actually have coffee this morning. Speaker 1: You do. Has it got root beer in it again? Speaker 2: No. Speaker 1: No root beer this time. No chocolate mocha Chocolate, mocha coffee, ish. Well, you know, dr Jenny and I are in studio today because we have a question for you. Speaker 2: Everybody listening. Speaker 1: Are you all ready? How big is yours? Speaker 2: What. Speaker 1: How big is yours? Speaker 2: Why that is none of your business. Speaker 1: Well, what do you mean? Speaker 2: I do declare are you getting fresh with, with? Speaker 1: me how big is yours, how big is your container? Oh nice, how big is your container? Are you allowing your container to grow vibrationally, energetically, spiritually, spiritually? Big topic, huh. Speaker 2: Yeah, ladies and gentlemen, pack your carrot sandwich lunch, because here we go. Speaker 1: We're talking about your containers, that you know. We create our own human limits within our spiritual world and Jenny and I refer to them as our containers. In one of the previous podcasts I think it was in Energy, in Simplified Energy Jenny had referred to. Her cup was full. Speaker 2: Yes. Speaker 1: And when your cup gets full, you humanly have a tendency to try to control it. Speaker 2: Yeah, if you're not careful. Speaker 1: Instead of trying to let spirit guide you through it. Speaker 2: Right. So in that podcast I referenced my energy being in a cup and some would visually see a tiny little four ounce or eight ounce cup and it's full and that's the max capacity of energy that I can let in or am allowing in. But to clarify for me, that cup is huge and it's constantly overflowing, kind of like a waterfall. That way it keeps me consciously reminded to always let the universal energy come in , come out, come in, come out, come in, come out. That's a lot of coming in and coming out. Indeed. Yeah, that's a lot. There's a lot of energy that gets used. I'm kind of like an energy gas station People come and fill up because we always have some sort of sale going on. Cell. Speaker 1: Coming. You know, what brings this to my mind is the social and societal taught abuse of things. You know, like we are taught, that we can only take so much, because I mean, how many times have you heard my cup runneth over? Or I'm trying to remember the other phrase that we talked about. I'll give you a good one, yeah. Speaker 2: When it comes to containment devices. So savings account, and you're talking about money. Yeah, what are we taught about that? Get that containment device called a savings account filled up three months so that you can survive, because there's barely enough to go around. Lack, lack, lack. Yeah, and that's a different vibrational frequency. If you're putting money in a savings account, in this cup or bucket, for a potential disaster , You're creating an energy of disaster and you're limiting Right and you're limiting how much money you can take in. Speaker 1: So I want to make a disclaimer real quick. Okay, we're not telling anybody negative or positive things about their money. We're just trying to get them to see their containers and what they're creating within their own world. Right, and when we were in high school, they didn't teach us about money, they didn't teach us about credit, they didn't teach us about any of that stuff . Speaker 2: And so we were. Speaker 1: Here you go, you're 18. You're an adult now and you have to have good credit or just or anything. I mean we didn't get taught about energy or any of that I remember in one of my high school personal development classes, our teachers taught us to put money in a savings account. And then, when I become an adult, I get told that's the worst thing you can do with your money, because it's low interest. You make hardly any money out of it. All you're doing is giving the bank money to play with. Speaker 2: Yeah, you remember when we first met and we had a bucket that we put our change in , yeah, and our money, yeah bucket. Put it through the machine to get the money to buy whatever it is we were buying. It made me a complete tailspin because I was very much in, locked into that template of, okay, this money has to go in this bucket, and this money has to go in this bucket, and yeah you tell the rest of that story. Speaker 1: What happened after we cashed in that change and we bought the lottery ticket? What happened? Speaker 2: like I don't even really remember, honestly, because for me, once I rewrite a belief, then I put it in the library and don't always remember the events of that history, because I'm a different person with a different history so I'll finish the story another topic for another podcast, because that's deep. Speaker 1: Yeah, I'll finish the story for you. We had a bucket full of change and we were kind of in between being paid on jobs and we had one lady that was delaying our payment a little bit and so we went and cashed this money in down at Walmart and Jenny was like there's only like $20 in this thing, and it ended up being like $200 and something, and we stopped at the store on the way back after Jenny went through her meltdown in the Walmart parking lot Because we went to the coin acceptor at Walmart and we stopped and bought a $10 scratch off on the way back and I think we went $600 or $500 and something, I don't even remember. Speaker 2: Yeah, something like that. Speaker 1: It was kind of funny. Speaker 2: I was defining that as. Speaker 1: Oh my God, we're broke, oh my. God, I'm broke, I'm poor, I'm having to use my change and so a whole part of that for me in my container sizes, or something that I used to try to humanly control what I realized as I try to control my containers when it comes to abundance, when it comes to relationships, when it comes to health, when it comes to employment, I always humanly tried to control that and all I was doing was putting parameters on my higher self and spirit. Speaker 2: Control that and all I was doing was putting parameters on my higher self and spirit, and when you humanly do that, it doesn't allow the vibrational change of your container so let's I just want to clarify so we don't create confusion you're putting the parameters on your human, which doesn't allow your higher self and your spirit to bring in the full magnitude of what is possibilities what is possible, right? That's what you're doing. You're not. You're not putting the parameters on the higher self there. Speaker 1: There are none, and they don't accept that spirit, god, whatever you want to call it will always take care of you and us as humans. If you really stop and think about it, how many times have you ever not had a meal? How many times have you never had a place to sleep, unless we humanly chose to do it? You know, jenny and I one Christmas we were in California and we walked across this highway bridge going over to the China buffet that was open on Christmas Day. We were going to go have crab legs. I think we were in Southern California, somewhere close to Los Angeles, yeah and we walked across the street, we went and ate and on the way back there was a whole bunch of homeless people on the—. Speaker 2: What we thought were homeless people. What we thought were homeless people. By not their decision. Speaker 1: Right and we went literally—Jenny, we pulled out a bunch of money. Speaker 2: Were you going to say we knocked on their door? Speaker 1: I was going to say we knocked on their shoulder actually, but we walked up behind them and we tried to give them money. We took out $300, I think out of the ATM. I was trying to give them money for Christmas or whatever, and none of them took it. Speaker 2: Yeah, they didn't want it. Speaker 1: One guy said I don't need your money, I get paid from the government every month. Speaker 2: Yeah, they were out there by choice and they weren't viewing it as a negative experience, but we were perceiving it as oh my God, this has got to be miserable for them. Speaker 1: Right. Speaker 2: They're out here on this holiday alone and homeless and destitute. Speaker 1: And we took it as they were forced into homelessness or whatever. Right, and the crazy part about it is I don't think any of those people you know the typical societal homeless person that's strung out on heroin is what everybody teaches you. And none of those people I think were on any drugs or they even had alcohol. Speaker 2: Yeah, I don't know. Speaker 1: And it was kind of an awakening moment for me, realizing that, hey, you know, these people do this by choice. Speaker 2: Right? Some of them definitely do. Speaker 1: They do it by choice, so they've opened up their vibrational status to allow their container to be where it is. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 1: And it was kind of Epiphanal really. Speaker 2: For me as well and I think that's a good thought process is that some in so that you can receive the maximum of what spirit intended, what your counsel, your guide, your God intended for you to receive. Speaker 1: Hasn't put parameters on there that restrict the flow of whatever it is you're wanting or needing or whatever. Yeah, that's kind of like. You know, in society we get taught that your cup is limited, your container is limited, like even when you buy a house, if your debt to income is 40% or higher, they're not going to approve you. If you go to buy a car, you have to have so much money down or whatever. They teach you that you can't have this unless you do this. And we all know that spirit or you and I definitely resonate with spirit controls all of that . Speaker 2: Of course, if you're humanly out of the way and you're letting the divine choreography of your life, the divine flow happen in a resistant free way. Spirit doesn't care about the societal parameters of gotta have a good credit score or gotta have enough money down or any of that that can, can poof. I mean literally it can be brought to those societal parameters without you having to do anything. Speaker 1: So I think in this topic, you know, we should talk about different subjects within the containers. Sure, you know, like I think we should really, let's talk with talk about your self-worth container yeah and what do you value yourself at? Because when you're humanly in the way of your own self-value, you are limiting your value that you could be given yeah and you could. You could open up your vibration , vibrational, vibrational expansion to where your container will become the biggest container in the world and your self worth becomes greater. And when you can do a vibrational change and allow that self worth cup growing exponentially and you become more valuable, it opens doors for you to remove the societal top beliefs behind expansion. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 1: And you're just yowing me. What's going on over there? Speaker 2: Meow, meow, meow, meow, Meow meow, meow, meow. I'm letting you finish your thought process. I agree, Of course. The idea situation on that growth and development part would be to get to a place where you don't need a container, that you view it as the world is my oyster, the multiverse is my container. I have access to every single piece of that and be able to throw the container off the cliff, so to speak. Speaker 1: You called it. Kick the bucket earlier. Speaker 2: Yeah sometimes you have to take baby steps and do a visualization technique or a mental visualization technique, or draw it out or get a realistic container, label them. You got to play games. Speaker 1: Yeah, we used to do it with envelopes, you remember. Speaker 2: Yeah, we would do envelopes and allow yourself to start with a container and grow it bigger and bigger, whatever that looks like, if you need to go get real buckets and label them and put confetti in it as representative of your wellness, energy, and then take and replace that container with a bigger container and a bigger container, until you can get to the point of the universe or the multiverse. Is in fact the container? Yes, is in fact the container, which then creates a situation where there is no container. Baby steps will get you there. Speaker 1: So what kind of examples of things for self-worth would you put in your container? Some good examples would be when people say to themselves oh , I'm not good enough at my job to get promoted, or I am not good enough at my job to get a nice raise. You know those are self-worth container subjects. You know we talked about monkey mind spanking your monkey in a previous podcast. When you can learn to control that monkey and realize that your self-worth is what you allow it to be and control that monkey mind, and then your container will grow. And guess what happens? Your abundance and your self-worth grows. Speaker 2: Of course. Yeah, I mean I think that on the topic of self-worth, I mean the first step would be to identify what your definition of that word is and then take it a subcategory further and identify what your definition of your self-worth is and make sure that those definitions are completely truthful, not monkey mind falsity, and then identify what you see as representative of, or symbolic of, self-worth for yourself, of yourself. For me I can talk about me. Self-worth is representative of many things and when I first started out working on my self-worth, I had to go kind of logical and do the whole. Okay, I have a degree that is representative of I'm a good person. Speaker 1: I have self-worth. Speaker 2: I know things, I make good money. I have two beautiful children that are healthy. I am a decent-looking individual. It was kind of a little bit what people would say superficial kind of topics, but I had to take baby steps because I mean, this was not a topic that I really ever dug into. What is my value? What is my self-worth? Speaker 1: What do I bring to the table? Speaker 2: I had to take baby steps in. It wrote those on my mirror, actually in lipstick, so that every day I was reminded of you know what? Hey, you're a good person because of this, this and this and this, and just as a habitual way of reminding myself that just because this person doesn't like me, or the day went bad because XYZ person got irritated at me or frustrated at me, it doesn't mean that. Or the day went bad because X, y, z person got irritated at me or frustrated at me, it doesn't mean that I have to sink back into that. Oh, I'm not worthy or I'm not a good person, or whatever. And so that's how I started. Speaker 1: I use blue sticky notes on my mirror. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 1: They give me permission slips. I call them permission slips. I have permission to be kindhearted today. I have permission to be loving. Today, Society teaches us to not have self-worth back in the day. Now it's changed a lot lately with all the equality in the world and I love to see this. But I remember when we were in high school. How many times did you hear that kid love cake. Speaker 2: Yeah, for sure. Speaker 1: And it was a common thing. Speaker 2: for that it wasn't what do you call it? Speaker 1: You keep eating those little debbies. You're going to weigh 500 pounds. Speaker 2: Politically correct did not exist when we were growing up. It was just not a thing. It was okay to say those kinds of things, and nobody got in trouble for saying that kind of stuff. Speaker 1: You know, all the magazines would come out with these, what was considered the Barbie bodies and all these young teenage girls? Speaker 2: Yeah, we all wanted to be Barbie. Speaker 1: We all wanted to have those same Barbies and those same looks, so you modeled after an inanimate object and lower your self-worth vibration, because that's something that you'll never be. Speaker 2: Absolutely. I'll tell you a personal story. I did some. I allowed myself in my 30s to do some body work. Speaker 1: Some breast augmentation and tummy tuck, yeah, yeah. Speaker 2: And tattooing my makeup and you know some body work and when I went to do my eyeliner and have it tattooed on , I literally took a picture of barbie's face because I wanted my eyeliner to look like barbie's eyeliner that's I mean because I was still in that um like place when we were growing up that you know everybody, most everybody wanted to look like Barbie. Speaker 1: You know, the self-worth container shrinks as we see those things you know like, for example, I was taught back at a very young age. I remember one of my uncles saying to his son if you don't get out and exercise and you don't do this and you don't do that, you're going to be fat. Speaker 2: Yeah, oh, that's a good one. Speaker 1: You're going to be fat and unhealthy and all this good stuff Like well, it's not really good stuff. And all that. All that he did because he was such a young. At a young age, he shrank his self-worth container to match the vibration of what he was being told and believed, because this was his, an authoritative figure in his life right and what happens now? he is quite obese now yeah and I noticed the other day on one of his social media that he's actually trying to get rid of the weight now and he has changed his belief. He said he doesn't believe he's fat anymore. Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean. For me, it's about the beliefs, patterns, programs and the energy flow behind every single topic. Speaker 1: Yeah, that low vibrational energy of negativity that gets sprung on us as children. We have to learn to overcome that with our self-worth. Speaker 2: Yeah, I mean don't get me wrong it served a purpose at the time it did and it goes back to and I think we covered that a little bit in one of the podcasts. If you don't update your processing system, then it gets to a point where it doesn't fit because society is always changing. We go into different eras as society as a whole grows and evolves, yeah, and those beliefs don't necessarily fit. So you've got to expand your cup. Speaker 1: Right. You know, your self-worth cup is completely vibrational and when you realize that the vibration that you've been taught is way low, when it doesn't resonate with you anymore by clearing those out of your reality, out of your thought process, out of your belief system, then your self-worth cup will expand. Just with your vibrational expansion, your cup will expand. Speaker 2: And it's intertangled with a lot of other topics. So I'm glad you started with self-worth, because if you can't identify and define what your self-worth or your value is, I didn't do that, by the way. Speaker 1: That was higher self saying. Let's start with this topic because I actually have a list right here in front of me and it was the last one on the list, but the first one I started with , All right. Speaker 2: It's your self-worth, your value is intertangled in a lot of aspects from the job that you'll allow yourself to have the. Am I intelligent enough to go and do this job? I'll tell a quick story about that. Our son, he was wanting to. You remember when he was wanting to go into IT and he was doing the lab thing? And he was like I don't know anything about it. I want to apply for this job, but I don't know anything about it. And I was like, okay, I don't know anything about it. I want to apply for this job, but I don't know anything about it. And I was like, okay, well, you learned this job. You were open for learning this job, what, what? Speaker 1: what do you? Do you not think you have any more ability to learn a new topic Did? Speaker 2: your learning stop. Speaker 1: Yeah, I mean your ability to learn went away. Speaker 2: Right. So his cup was very limiting on his self-worth and his viewpoint of his value, caused him to have a belief in place that he wasn't able to look at it and say, oh yeah, I learned how to do that. I can learn how to do this, and so once we got him over that hump, now he's like one of the top manager directors I don't know what his title is in the company, just got another raise. Speaker 1: I think he's supervisor department. Speaker 2: supervisor, yeah, some sort of supervisor with a company and living very comfortably and doing what he loves. Speaker 1: Traveling? Yeah, he just traveled. He's in California right now. Speaker 2: Yeah, he's in California now doing the California thing. Speaker 1: Your self-worth container also contains your ability to maintain good, healthy relationships. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 1: Because if your self-worth container is small and it's not much in it, then you'll accept relationships that aren't so healthy. Speaker 2: Yeah. Speaker 1: Because you don't view yourself as deserving of something better, right. And so when you get to the point that your container runs over is when you humanly can look at it very, very negatively and put us into that deep state of depression and those kind of things, and so we have to empty that cup, and you know what? Speaker 2: fills that cup, expand it, those negative beliefs. Speaker 1: And so you've got to pick that cup up and dump it upside down and dump all that out in your self-worth container . By far Now, self-worth, I think , is a little different than some of the other containers. How so Explain, different than some of the other containers. How so Explain? Because self-worth is so revolved around societal top beliefs and your authoritative figures when you're young that you, if you don't clear the beliefs out of the way, that sometimes it's hard to raise that vibration. And so dumping that cup out is more than important than expanding it, and because once you dump it, it's going to expand. Speaker 2: I agree 100%. Dumping it out and exploring what is actually in there, keeping what needs to stay or what you want to stay from a positive vibration and replacing the negative things with more positive vibration, of allowing and knowing that you deserve it's, it's your, it's your birthright, it's your spiritual right to to have any and everything that you want or desire. You just got to line up with the vibrational frequency of it. I agree, and a lot of people are going to be like, okay, whatever. Speaker 1: We interrupt this podcast for an important message . Part one of this podcast ran a little long and this will conclude part one of how Big Is your? So stay tuned for part two. Thank you for listening. Don't forget to follow, like and hit that little bell. Take care.
